The ISO-PUCK Hospital Grade Isolation Transformer when installed between the wall outlet and any electrical or electronic equipment offers added safety for both staff and patients. The transformer can also be readily installed in racks or inside housing of medical devices
Users and Benefits
The primary benefit of the ISO-PUCK is to increase safety of patients and staff in Patient Care Areas at hospitals, medical clinics, physicians' podiatrists' and dentists' offices and other healthcare facilities, where electrically powered examination tables and chairs or electronic devices are used. A second benefit of the ISO-PUCK is that the healthcare facility can now save money by purchasing commercial-grade computers, printers, video and TV monitors instead of the more costly medical grade models of such equipment. Certainly, The ISO-PUCK isolation transformers can be used in non-medical applications, wherever there is a need for increased electrical isolation of electrical equipment to safeguard users and by-standers.
Technical Data
Input and Output voltages of the 60Hz models are 120V. To protect against overload, each transformer has a built-in auto-resettable thermo-protector. The standard length of the 14 AWG cords is 2 feet. The 60 Hz models have a molded hospital-grade plug on the input and a molded receptacle on the output.
We have expanded our ISO-PUCK product line to include more VA ratings. The largest size now handles 3000VA. For overseas markets we have new 50/60Hz designs available up to 2500 VA.For the 50/60Hz models, the input voltage is 230/240V and output voltage can be either 117V or 230/240V. In view of the different types of plugs and receptacles used outside of North America, we will be happy to hand-mount customer specified plugs and/or receptacle – or supply the cords with no termination. Custom lengths of cords are also available options.
